Fundamentals of Small Business – Sat. Oct. 22, 9 – Noon

Course Overview

This workshop focuses on the basic business processes critical to starting a new business or growing an existing business. For a startup business, reviewing these processes is a reality check – a no-nonsense look at the requirements and challenges of starting a business. “Small Business Fundamentals” is also a useful learning experience for new business leaders as well as existing business owners interested in growing their business.

Who should attend?

Participants considering starting a business/buying a business or an existing small business owner that wants to grow their business or learn how to evaluate new business ideas.

Start Up Basics (Part 1 of our Simple Steps for Starting a Business series) Wed. Nov. 9, 6 – 9 pm

Course Overview

This workshop focuses on the basic business processes critical to business start-ups. For a start-up business, reviewing these processes is a reality check – a no-nonsense look at the requirements and challenges of starting a business. “Start-up Basics” is also a useful learning experience for new business leaders. Many SS1 participants enroll in the remaining 4 workshops to complete the series.

Participants considering starting a business or buying a business or a small business owner that wants to learn how to evaluate new business ideas.

Business Concept Development (Part 2 of our Simple Steps for Starting a Business series) Wed. Nov. 16, 6 – 9 pm

Course Overview

Learn the essential elements of a good business plan – and why a business plan is a critical factor in the success of your business. In addition, gain knowledge about: the legal structures for businesses; market research; competitive analysis; and more to help you take your business idea to the next level.
